Economic & business development are vital concerns for the future of rural counties and communities. This informative series will feature key officials and experts in related fields. Opportunities and solutions for rural Florida will be the focus of the Webinars. The statewide series is being hosted by Jefferson County, FL, with funding support from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity.

Schedule: The kickoff session is set for January 28, 2: 00 PM. Other events will be held February – April.

Topics: A wide range of timely topics will be covered through this series to assist rural communities in creating jobs and vibrant local economies — topics like economic development, small business development, economic diversification, the Florida Rural Economic Development Study, tourism, economic gardening, workforce development, trends affecting local economies and more.

Themes: The themes for the next three events, in this order, are: Economic Diversification, Small Business Development and Trends, Conditions & Options in Fast Changing Times

Who Should Attend: The series is being promoted statewide to a diverse mix of audiences — local government officials … economic development, workforce development and small business development professionals … community planners … tourism development councils & visitor bureaus … Main Street programs and a variety of others.
